Kumtor Gold Company continues to contribute to fighting the coronavirus epidemic in Kyrgyzstan. The company has purchased 90 oxygen concentrators which soon will be sent to medical facilities in Jety-Oguz and Ton districts as well as in the city of Balykchi Issyk-Kul province.

MACK operators and a dispatcher, who are all employees of the Balykchi Marshalling Yard, Kumtor Gold Company, have raised funds in aid of medical treatment given to patients severely hit by COVID-19.

Kumtor Gold Company funded the children’s playground and youth recreation project to be implemented in Orgochor, Jeti-Oguz district. The facility will also be available for children from the adjacent villages. The project was implemented under the KGC program providing financial assistance to local initiatives.

Kumtor Gold Company CJSC, as part of the regional cooperation program and Issyk-Kul farmers assistance scheme, having considered the project proposed by the villagers, has contributed KGS 3,875,740 for rehabilitation of the pumping station and water intake channel in Eshperov, Ton district, Issyk-Kul region.

​​​​​​​Voluntary donations of Kumtor Gold Company to the program of response to the coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic to the amount of 52,000 soms have been transferred to the COVID-19 account of the Central Treasury of the Finance Ministry for the Health Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Centerra Gold Inc. (Centerra) and Kumtor Gold Company (KGC) have summed up their operating results in the first quarter of 2020. In the first three months of 2020, KGC produced 152,307ounces¹ or 4737.28 kg of gold and contributed more than 2.82 billion soms in taxes and mandatory payments.

Kumtor Gold Company has contributed US $5,000 to the Karakol zoo which needs funds to purchase forage and food additives for its animals, thus responding to the urgent request of the Bugu-Ene public fund for aid.
