Since 2000, Kumtor Gold Company has been implementing a regional scholarship program. This year, the Bishkek Lyceum No. 91 celebrates the 20th anniversary of fruitful cooperation with Kumtor. For two decades, more than 200 of the best graduates of schools in the Jeti-Oguz and Ton districts and the city of Balykchi from socially volnurable families got an opportunity to study the basics of cooking and obtain a profession with financial support of Kumtor.
Preliminary data from the Kumtor exploration program approved by Centerra Gold’s Board of Directors in 2018 are encouraging. Experts believe that the life of the largest mining enterprise in Kyrgyzstan can be extended for several more years. Outlook for the current 2020 is also optimistic.

Kumtor-Chakan Loans Aiyl Bank are designed to promote employment and reduce poverty. Program has started on April 23, 2012 from signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Kyrgyz Government and Kumtor Gold Company. More information in the news video.
