Centerra Gold Inc. (Centerra) and Kumtor Gold Company (KGC) have summed up their operating results in the first quarter of 2015. In the first three months of 2015, KGC produced 164,272 ounces* or 5,109 kg of gold and contributed more than 2,92 billion soms in taxes and mandatory payments.

On May 1, 2015, seedlings were distributed to Toru-Aigyr community, Issyk-Kul Province, under the Karagat Plus Program financed by Kumtor Gold Company and implemented by the AVEP Public Fund.

Today on April 22, 2015, in Bishkek, the Water Museum opened it’s doors. The Museum was opened at the K.I.Skryabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University. Kumtor Gold Company is one of the sponsors of the Museum.

Since April 2015, the Regional Information Center of Kumtor Gold Company for the Jety-Oguz District will be based in the premises of the Kyzyl-Suu Village Administration. The Center is open to visitors Monday through Friday from 9.00 till 17.00.

Four daily runoff ponds and a water reservoir have been rebuilt before the start of irrigation in the Jety-Oguz and Ton districts, Issyk-Kul province, with the support of Kumtor Company. The budget of the project is estimated at $173,545.

A futsal field, built with the support of Kumtor Gold Company, was officially inaugurated in the village of Tilekmat, Jety-Oguz district, last week.

The kindergarten in the village of Barskoon, Jety-Oguz district, can provide room for 140 children since the spring of 2015. Kumtor Gold Company has contributed more than 660,000 Soms for its equipment with new furniture.

In line with its strategy of supporting local communities in their bid to secure sustainable development, Kumtor Gold Company has handed over to the Jargylchak Municipal Administration the Bal Shireh fruit processing plant designed to produce aseptic canned goods and juices and located in the village of Ak-Terek, Jety-Oguz district.

Trees were planted in the grounds of high school No. 91 located in Bishkek’s neighborhood of Kara-Jigach on April 3, 2015, in what was announced as a joint action of the Green Foundation and International Public Fund “Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva.”

Class rooms in the U. Asanaliyev Mining Institute that were renovated with the support of Kumtor Gold Company were officially opened on April 3, 2015.

A national freestyle wrestling tournament was held in Balykchi, Issyk-Kul province, on March 27-29, 2015.
