01.10.2015 Kumtor supported 23 school graduates to study at Bishkek vocational schools

For the 2015-2016 academic school year, 106 applications were received, from which, after review, 23 Scholarships were approved and awarded by KGC. Eleven of the selected students study at Technical School #91 after which they will attain a diploma in the specialty of Cook/Baker and 12 students study at Technical School #27 after which they will attain a diploma in the specialty of Auto Mechanic.

29.09.2015 Kumtor Employee Winner of Beauty and Creativity Contest “Miss Miner-2015” in Nomination “Miss Style-2015”

Anara Seidekbekova, a Kumtor Company employee, was recognized as the winner of the beauty and creativity contest “Miss Miner-2015” in the nomination “Miss Style-2015.” The event was held in the Kyrgyz Coastland (Kyrgyzskoye Vzmorye) resort, Bosteri, Issyk-Kul province, on September 17, 2015, as part of the Second Kyrgyz Miners and Metallurgists Tournament.

A conference titled “Effective NGO Governance: from Setting Missions to Practical Results” was held last weekend in the Issyk-Kul region. Participating in it were representatives of six Youth Banks created under a project implemented by the Eurasian Fund of Central Asia (EFCA) with the support of Kumtor Gold Company.

23.09.2015 Drip Irrigation at Kajisai

With the support of Kumtor Company, a local youth organization is developing a drip irrigation project for a public park in the village of Kajisai, Ton district. The company has contributed 60,000 soms to purchase equipment and materials.

With the support of the Balykchi City Hall, Kumtor Gold Company has handed over a drying chamber to the Generation Next youth organization for the free use.

21.09.2015 Greenhouse Built in Orphanage at Kajisai

A greenhouse built in the Hadicha orphanage at Kajisai, Ton district was officially opened last Friday. The greenhouse was built as part of the Karagat Plus Project with the support of Kumtor Gold Company. The official opening ceremony was attended by the orphanage teachers, children and representatives of Kumtor Company.

14.08.2015 Kumtor Gold Company Employees Visited Mobile Jailoo Kindergarten to Give Master Classes

Twenty company employees and their children traveled to the Kok-Jayik jailoo (mountain pasture) located in the Jety-Oguz district this August to spend one whole day in a mobile jailoo kindergarten opened under the Jaloo Kindergartens Project. Previously the company assisted with the provision of Ton and Jety-Oguz kindergartens with stationeries and books.

13.08.2015 Third Fruit-And-Berry Festival Held in Issyk-Kul

The third Karagat Fruit-and-Berry Festival was held in the village of Tiup Issyk-Kul province last weekend. The Festival was held for the third time as part of the Karagat + Project implemented by the AVEP public fund with the financial support of Kumtor Gold Company.
