Local Procurement in figures

For maintaining the continuous production, we purchase goods and services from over 700 enterprises, more than 50% of which are from KR. 100% of the food products are purchased from the local market.

Throughout the calendar year, KGC contracts from 400 to 1700 workers of various trades to perform work at Kumtor mine depending on the season and production needs. 80% of the contracted workers are residents of the Issyk-Kul region. Out of the whole Issyk-Kul Province contractors the Jety-Oguz region make up 61%, the Ton region – 14%, and the remaining 25%  are the residents of other regions of the Issyk-Kul Province (Data as of Q3 of 2020).
