Kumtor Gold Company Presents Training Equipment to Issyk-Kul Regional Vehicles and Drivers Registration Department

November 13, 2017, on behalf of Kumtor Gold Company, representatives from Employee Development and Administration, Balykchy Marshalling Yard, and Sustainable Development presented the training equipment to the Issyk-Kul Regional Vehicles and Drivers Registration Department of the State Registration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Earlier, this Department applied the Company with a request to assist in equipping the classroom and purchasing the training equipment for more efficient driver training. The Company endorsed the request and handed over the EF-3 Car Driving Simulator and training desks. The driving simulator allows to practice driving skills in a way close to real traffic conditions without being exposed to real danger.

The high-quality graphics creates road situations and provides the students with an opportunity to train their driving skills. The mobile driving simulator is planned to be used throughout Issyk-Kul Oblast to train new vehicle drivers with the goal of increasing overall driving capability of the new drivers and reducing the number of vehicle incidents on public roads.

“The Car Driving Simulator will provide better training of drivers for Issyk-Kul oblast. Road safety should be the responsibility of every citizen of our country, and we are happy that Kumtor Gold Company shares our vision. Annually, the Department trains about 2,900 and retrains 480 drivers (i.e. raises their driving categories); anyway, all in all, it trains and retrains about 3,400 residents of Issyk-Kul oblast. Owing to the new simulator, a new modern component will be introduced into the training process and this will improve the quality of education of our citizens. In the future, we are planning to hand over this simulator to driving schools subordinated to our Department, which feel the need for better training,” Chief of the Balykchy Registration-Examination Unit of the Issyk-Kul Regional Vehicles and Drivers Registration Department Kuban Akimkanov said.
