Kumtor Employees Provided Aid to Sokuluk Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities

On Saturday, July 22, 2017, employees of the Administration & Employee Development Department visited the Sokuluk Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities with a charitable purpose. Department employees raised funds to purchase and install an air conditioner in the conference room of the Center, purchased and delivered mats for playrooms, diapers, clothes and various sweet treats.
The Sokuluk Rehabilitation Center was established in 2014 with the aim to provide optimal conditions for upbringing and education of children with disabilities and help them to prepare for independent active life to the extent possible.
The “Kumtor Ambassadors” have started providing targeted assistance to this social institution since last year. Kumtor employees intend to continue helping this Center, the next visit is scheduled for August of this year.
Kumtor Gold Company provides jobs for over 4000 people.
99 percent of the Company full-time employees are Kyrgyz citizens, and this proportion is ever growing as the result of foreign managerial personnel being gradually replaced by national employees.
