Kyrgyz National Academy experts are studying northwestern glaciers of the Ak-Shiyrak massif. Their observations are supposed to help better understand climate changes both in our own country and across Central Asia. Kumtor Company, together with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, has been implementing the project on the monitoring of glaciers near the Kumtor Mine since 2014.
