28.06.2021 Foreign ambassadors and representatives of international organizations visited the Kumtor mine

On June 25, 2021, representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the Kumtor mine at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with the organizational support provided by Kumtor Gold Company CJSC (KGC). The delegation included the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India and Great Britain accredited in Kyrgyzstan, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as delegates from international and national organizations – United Nations Resident Coordinator, UN FAO, UNDP, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Committee for Ecology and Climate of the Kyrgyz Republic.

10.04.2021 Kumtor Provides Aid to Jety-Oguz Farmers

Kumtor awarded 5 million soms in financial aid to implement a project encouraging Jety-Oguz farmers to grow wheat. These funds were used to purchase 170 tonnes of winter wheat seeds (Bezostaya primary seeds). As a result, the seeds were distributed to a total of 34 groups, 5 to 10 farmers in each, in each of 19 villages of Jety-Oguz district. The seeds return terms are based on the ratio of 1 to 1.5. For example, if you borrowed 1 tonne you are expected to return 1.5 tonnes. Having received the seeds, the farmers sowed nearly 570 hectares of arable land.

27.04.2018 EXISTING PIT DISPATCH SYSTEM REPLACEMENT

Acceptance of commercial proposals to provide the existing pit dispatch system replacement services Kumtor Gold Company CJSC is interested in receiving commercial proposals for replacement of the existing pit dispatch system at the Kumtor mine. In this connection, Kumtor Gold Company CJSC invites for cooperation the companies and private entrepreneurs to provide the following services: – Installation of cable wiring (including power control cables) on mobile pit equipment. – Ethernet cable routing to radio equipment installation on mobile pit equipment. – Replacement, installation and connection of radio-transmitting and GPS cables, antennas, receivers, computers/displays, mountings and other equipment on mobile pit equipment. – Reconfiguration of radio equipment for proper operation of pit dispatch system. All works must be performed on haul trucks, excavators and auxiliary equipment of the company (approximately 117 units). In the event if contract is concluded, specialists performing works at the mine/visiting the mine need to undergo an appropriate medical examination, as well as a control provided by safety system of the company. Basic Operating and Financial Results At the Kumtor mine gold production in 2017 was 562,749 ounces*  or 17,503.46 kg.

21.02.2018 Kumtor Gold Company Heavy Duty Equipment Maintenance Department B-1 and B-2 Shifts’ Employees Help Two Orphanages of Issyk-Kul Oblast

Following the results of the “Safety Month” competition held at the Kumtor Gold Company in November 2017, the tire fitting personnel of HD Equipment Maintenance B-1 and B-2 shifts won two certificates totaling KGS 50,000. The said personnel decided to use the entire winning amount for charitable purposes. Having united with representatives of the KGC contractor ‘Helper’ Company, they additionally collected KGS 10,000. As a result, it was decided to help two orphanages of Issyk-Kul oblast – Kelechek in Kyzyl Suu village and Meerim Bulagy in Ak-Bulak village – by providing them with various household appliances to the amount of KGS 60,000. On February 11, 2018, Kumtor Ambassadors visited Kelechek Orphanage and presented them a washing machine, an electric oven, a vacuum cleaner, an iron, a kettle, bed linen and sweets. On February 12, 2018, Kumtor employees visited Meerim Bulagy Orphanage and presented them a gas stove, a vacuum cleaner, an iron, a kettle, bed linen and sweets.
