published: 27 December 2017

Employees of Kumtor Gold Company’s Balykchi Marshalling Yard have provided aid to needy families and the Bagyt Crisis Center in the city of Balykchi Issyk-Kul province.

The Kumtor employees distributed foods and sweets as New Year gifts to ten families partly indicated on the list provided by the Balykchi department of the Social Fund and partly based on the knowledge of the employees themselves.

“We have seen ourselves that these families are really in difficult circumstances. We have chosen families that do not have a breadwinner with old people raising their grandchildren or single fathers with their children of school age,” said Jyldyz Raimkulova, Manager, Balykchi Marshalling Yard, Kumtor Gold Company.

After visiting the families on the list, the Ambassadors of Kumtor distributed gifts provided by Sustainable Development, KGC, to the Bagyt Crisis Center. They handed the New Year gifts to children that stayed at the Center these days ahead of the New Year celebrations.
