14th Kumtor Annual Charitable Golf Tournament Held Last Weekend

On October 8, 2016, employees of Kumtor Gold Company and partner companies took part in the 14th annual charitable golf tournament held at the Maple Leaf Club.

Participating were 13 teams selected from among the Company employees and partners. The third prize went to the team led by Deon Badenhorst, Vice President, Administration & Human Resources; the second prize, to the team led by Nurmat Imanaliyev, a golf club coach. Yet, the first prize in the 2016 championship was won by the team led by Chingiz Musulumov, also a golf club coach.

Additionally, six players were given special gifts in the best hits nomination.

All tournament participants won prizes provided by Kumtor’s international and domestic suppliers and partners. Also, an every-ticket-wins-lottery was arranged and a total of 200 tickets was sold. To close the day, a 5-lot auction was held. The employees’ children enjoyed a show and master classes on painting and playing the Japanese drums, taikos.

The sum thus generated, $3.115, was donated to the fund «Help the children SKD», which is raising funds for an operation that Aleksandr Ripp, a 15-month baby, badly needs. Twice, he was wrongly diagnosed until it was found out that he suffers from a very rare cancer form.
