Youth social projects in Balykchy

Kumtor’s support rendered to three youth social projects in Balykchy, Issyk-Kul Province – 16 tons of flour was given to the bakery of “Future of Issyk-Kul” Public Fund that delivers bread every day to an orphanage and a retirement home, as well as distributes among low income families; municipal beach was improved; and “Generation Next” youth organization was provided with a drying chamber.
Kumtor Gold Company provides jobs for over 4000 people.
99 percent of the Company full-time employees are Kyrgyz citizens, and this proportion is ever growing as the result of foreign managerial personnel being gradually replaced by national employees.
