Kumtor has commissioned a new supply warehouse, substation and high-voltage power transmission line.
The new facilities were built on the basis of relevant approvals and in keeping with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic. The warehouse, substation and 8.48-kilometer transmission line are the projects that were carried out in accordance with the design documents approved by appropriate government authorities. The projects were put in place under construction design, on-site and state supervision in perfect agreement with the legal regulations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It will be recalled that the planned relocation of the infrastructure at the mine is due to highly intensified mining operations and planned production programs.
At present, the mine is developing design documents for the camp, administrative office, medical center, fuel storage depot, workshops and some other facilities.
