100% OF THE SHARES OF KUMTOR OPERATING COMPANY HAVE BEEN TRANSFERRED TO THE MANAGEMENT OF KUMTOR GOLD COMPANY

100% of the shares of Kumtor Operating Company Closed Joint Stock Company have been transferred to Kumtor Gold Company Closed Joint Stock Company.

The relevant decision was made to enable Kumtor Gold Company to ensure more efficient and timely operational decision-making regarding Kumtor Operating Company, which is currently engaged in the development of Togolok Gold Deposit and geological exploration of Dzhangart area. 

It should be noted that earlier the sole shareholder of Kumtor Operating Company Closed Joint Stock Company was Kyrgyzaltyn Open Joint Stock Company.

For reference: Togolok Gold Deposit, discovered back in 1978, is located in a remote, high-altitude area of Jeti-Oguz district, Issyk-Kul region.

The nearest to Togolok Deposit are Uch-Koshkon and Ak-Shiyrak communities. The distance from Bishkek to Togolok Deposit is 560 km.

In the current year, full-scale mining operations have commenced at Togolok Deposit. The first ore is expected to be mined in 2026. In parallel, a drilling program exceeding 16,000 meters is in progress at the promising Dzhangart area.

The Togolok Deposit, planned for a 10–15-year development period, will be developed in two stages. According to the protocol, 19,928.5 kg of gold have been registered on the balance of the State Commission on Mineral Reserves of the Kyrgyz Republic.
