10 Million Soms in Aid to Batken Residents from Kumtor

Kumtor Gold Company has contributed 10 million soms in aid to support people hit by the conflict taking place on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The funds have been transferred to a special account, “Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Government in Batken Province”, to accumulate voluntary donations.
Kumtor Gold Company provides jobs for over 4000 people.
99 percent of the Company full-time employees are Kyrgyz citizens, and this proportion is ever growing as the result of foreign managerial personnel being gradually replaced by national employees.
