Kumtor Mill resumes operation after annual PM

On July 27, 2021, the Kumtor Mill was launched after annual planned maintenance. The Kumtor Mill operations has been suspended for maintenance starting from July 23. Mill Manager Nurdin Usenov predicted the Mill commissioning on July 29 if all planned maintenance operations would be completed ahead of schedule.

However, the Mill maintenance operations were performed in 4 days, which significantly reduced the shutdown time. The professional competence of work teams ensured to perform the high quality maintenance operations.

KGC specialists always work on continuous improvement of the operation processes in order to save the company’s resources and cost effectively perform all necessary work in due time.

After the Mill commissioning, KGC’s Temporary External Manager Tengiz Bolturuk, who observed the maintenance operations on site, thanked the employees for a job done successful.

Throughout the Mill shutdown period, mining operations continued in a routine mode.
