Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, visited the Balykchy Marshalling Yard of Kumtor Gold Company to review the progress of the ongoing modernization works.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers was presented with detailed information on the ongoing renovation of the Yard’s production and technical infrastructure.

The ongoing modernization is aimed at improving the operational efficiency of Kumtor Gold Company, reducing logistics costs, and accelerating cargo transportation.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the modernization of the Yard plays an important role in ensuring the stable operation of the Kumtor Mine, one of the key drivers of the country’s economy.

Balykchy Marshalling Yard of Kumtor Gold Company Closed Joint Stock Company is located along the Balykchy–Naryn highway in the southwestern part of Balykchy.

Last year, modernization works commenced at the facility, including the installation of new fuel storage tanks that expanded total capacity from 12,400 to over 32,000 cubic meters, as well as the landscaping and improvement of the Yard’s territory covering an area of 1.2 hectares.
